EE VisaDays is built on a simple rule: your travel history is yours. This policy says plainly what that means in practice.
What the app collects
Nothing. EE VisaDays has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or advertising SDKs of any kind. We do not know who you are, and we have no way to find out.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter — stays, travelers, passports, visas, permits, and your home country — is stored locally in the app's own database on your phone. It is never uploaded anywhere, and we have no server that could receive it even if we wanted to.
Deleting the app deletes this data. There is no cloud copy to remove separately, because none exists.
The two things that do talk to the network
Rule updates. The app periodically downloads the current immigration and tax rule definitions (day limits, thresholds, and similar public reference data) from theengineeredescape.com. This is a one-way fetch of the rules themselves — your travel data is never sent as part of it.
Purchases. The one-time full-access unlock is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Payment details and purchase records are processed by Google, under Google's own privacy policy — EE VisaDays never sees your payment information.
Backups and exports
The optional CSV/JSON export and backup feature only ever runs when you explicitly trigger it, and only ever writes to a location you choose on your own device (or a cloud storage app you separately control, such as Google Drive). We are not a party to that transfer in any way.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, the app schedules a local, on-device check for document-expiry alerts. This never involves a server — no push notification service is used, and no data leaves your device to make it work.
Children's privacy
EE VisaDays is a general-purpose travel utility not directed at children, and (per "What the app collects" above) it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Because the app collects nothing, the range of changes that could meaningfully affect you is small — but we'll keep this page current regardless.
