My wife and I recently added the Bank of America Atmos™ Rewards Ascent Visa Signature® card to our wallets, and the math on this one made it a completely worthwhile addition.

The Current Welcome Offer
Right now, the Atmos Rewards Ascent card features an excellent welcome bonus: 70,000 bonus points and a $99 Companion Fare (plus taxes and fees starting at $23) after spending $2,500 on purchases within the first 90 days of opening the account.

We are always cautious about adding cards with annual fees, but the Atmos Rewards Ascent comes with a $95 annual fee that is incredibly easy to offset. The primary reason we applied was the baggage perk.
When you use the card to pay for your flights, you get a free checked bag and preferred boarding for yourself and up to 6 guests on the same reservation. Between the two of us, dodging those checked bag fees on our journey to Asia completely wipes out the cost of holding the card for the year.
